It was good to see several of our brethren out in the community recently, giving their time to support the annual Poppy Day appeal for the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services' Association.
Poppy Day remains one of the most visible ways we honour those who have served. It depends on volunteers who are willing to stand out, have a conversation, and represent the cause with quiet dignity. This year, a number of our members stepped forward to do exactly that.
Freemasonry is not confined to the Lodge room. It is reflected in how we show up in our communities, how we give our time, and how we support others. Assisting with Poppy Day is a simple but meaningful way of doing just that.
